You could modify the font of an existing list style that doesn’t have the hanging indent, but you don’t want to take that route.
In fact, there’s no built-in list style that uses Normal as the text style and doesn’t have a hanging indent.
Select the text and click Numbering in the Paragraph group.
A simple numbered list is easy to generate in Microsoft Word.
